Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has purchased a sea-facing quadruplex in suburban Bandra for 119 crore, according to industry insiders, in one of the largest residential unit sales in the nation.
The actor has purchased an apartment on floors 16, 17, 18, and 19 of the Sagar Resham building in Bandstand, which is adjacent to Salman Khan’s flat in the Galaxy Apartments and Shah Rukh Khan’s Mannat house.
Singh and his father Jugjeet Bhavnani are directors of Oh Five Oh Media Works LLP, a firm that has purchased the flat in the building that is currently being refurbishment. According to the reports, the contract includes a customization element whereby the contractor will construct the four levels in accordance with the preferences of the actor.
According to the sources, a stamp duty of more than 7 crore was paid for the deal, which also included the purchase of 19 parking spaces, an exclusive 1,300 square foot terrace, and 11,266 square feet of space. The price per square foot comes to almost Rs. 1 lakh.
The quadruplex is probably going to be Singh and actor Deepika Padukone’s main residence. According to sources, they have been searching for an independent villa in the popular celebrity neighbourhoods of Juhu and Bandra for about three years.
According to sources, Sagar Resham currently does not brag of household celebrities who will live nearby the celebrity pair.
When reached, Ritesh Mehta, senior director and head (west) for residential services at real estate consulting firm JLL India, stated the actor paid the going rate. A property here costs between Rs 90,000 and Rs 1.10 lakh per square foot.
Mehta added that several developers have been purchasing ancient bungalows in Bandra and Juhu’s seaside neighbourhoods in the hopes that the coastal regulation zone (CRZ) regulations will be relaxed in the future, allowing for the supply of additional apartments in the area.
